Spent a nice couple of hours poking and playing around with the phone, even though I’ve had the updated software for a while. I happened to stumble on this nice little tip this afternoon and it worked perfectly. Try it out. It’s great for taking any photo, from any source online and making it your wallpaper.

Whenever I download an update for an iPhone app it moves it from its orignal location, in this case my home screen, and puts it in the next available spot.

Now, I’m just sayin’, but I did put it on my home sceen because I wanted it there to begin with and, if you’re “updating”, shouldn’t the update take hold without changing my preferences?

Just testing the iPhone Wordpress app. It’s been a breeze thus far. I sailed right through the setup and am publishing this with relative ease. Kind of interested to see how the auto-correction function screws with people’s perception of how well or poorly I write.

It’s amazing that after all this “preparation” and time for planning that Apple still couldn’t get their shit together and provide a seamless upgrade for their original customers of the 2.5G phone. I and many others are seeing this when trying to update this morning:

Lovely. It’s bad enough that I wasn’t planning to buy the 3G version, but after this I may be considering a Blackberry. Enough is enough.
